Meet the team
Barry Roche
CEO and Founder
Barry started his career in the Royal Marines giving him a first-hand insight into high performance culture, physical and mental resilience, and the importance of a sense of humour.
Over the last 20 years he has started and built businesses across a broad range of sectors from, Support Services, Armed Maritime Security, Corporate Intelligence, Cyber Security and the Legal Sector. This eclectic mix of experiences has developed a unique approach to people and business.
His companies have been featured in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 on three occasions and he has been listed twice in the Lloyds List Top 100 most influential people in shipping.
A lifelong obsession with human performance has led to collaborations with leading Academics and Doctors, as well as Government, Military and Intelligence Agencies across the world.
His aim in founding RSG was to combine commercial experience, with a range of world class performance experts, to create a truly integrated approach to helping business leaders and their business reach their potential.
His passions outside of work are surfing, shooting and martial arts all of which he is enthusiastically average at! He lives in Hertfordshire with his wife Jo and their two daughters and dog Barney.
Professor Adrian Furnham
Psychological Director
Adrian Frank Furnham (born 3 February 1953) is a South African-born British BPS chartered occupational psychologist and chartered health psychologist. He is currently an adjunct professor at BI Norwegian Business School and professor at University College London. Throughout his career, he has lectured in the following post-secondary institutions: Pembroke College, Oxford, University of New South Wales, University of West Indies, Hong Kong University Business School, and the Henley Management College.
Furnham has a broad range research interest within the field of psychology. He has explored topics within: applied, economic, health, occupational, social, and differential psychology. As of 2018, he has published 92 books and over 1,200 peer-reviewed journal articles.
Furnham is a fellow of the British Psychological Society; he was granted the British Psychological Society of Academic Contribution to Practice Award in 2011.
Dr Adam Carey
Clinical Advisor
Adam qualified from Oxford in 1988, going on to become an accredited specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with sub-specialist interests in endocrinology and nutrition. He left the NHS in 1998 to actively develop the use of nutritional and lifestyle interventions to improve human performance, reduce the risk of disease and develop individual resilience. Working extensively in sport, he delivered innovative solutions to many international teams including the World Cup-winning England Rugby Football Union in 2003.
John Taylor
Senior Research Fellow
John Taylor is a senior research fellow in the Department of War Studies, King's College London, having spent over 50 years working closely with the security and intelligence sector.
Mairi MacLean
Recruitment Expert
A 20 year career in the recruitment has seen Mairi witness the good and the bad of recruitment processes. She works with RSG designing recruit processes with for C suite hires.
Chris White
Business Development Advisor
Chris loves to unlock the value in our customers’ businesses, turning sales success into repeatable stories. Chris has evolved 5,000+ Sales Generalists and 500 Sales Specialists worldwide to high-performance As-a-Service Solution Sales, supporting culture assets, community and approach.
As a former WW Director and GTM Founders team member for HPE GreenLake Sales, he was responsible and accountable for developing and driving GTM methodology and culture. Chris loves life in the mountains and enjoys Nigerian Guinness.
